Whatever the business case driving the data integration, Breadboard BI can quickly and affordably implement the complex processes and technology required to ensure your effort is a success. Data integration requirements may be driven by a number of objectives. Some common drivers include:
  • Data from multiple sources like ERP packages, custom systems, files, and spreadsheets must be integrated into a single, optimized data store.

  • Very large data sets from a single system are not stored in a manner appropriate for analysis, so a subset of the data must be moved into a highly optimized data store.

  • For financial reasons, organizations push data from proprietary database systems to open source database systems like MySQL for detailed analysis.

Designing the process of data integration is as important as the actual technology used to move the data. We understand the technical and political challenges encountered when working with diverse business units across a single organization. Our consultants work closely with the business stakeholders, source system owners, DBAs and others to ensure that the required data is quickly identified and integrated as effortlessly as possible.

Breadboard BI uniquely offers significant experience with a wide variety of technologies to implement complex data integration requirements. Our experienced consultants have completed many successful projects using open source ETL tools like Pentaho and Talend, proprietary ETL tools like Informatica and Oracle Warehouse Builder, and custom data integration applications written in Perl or Java. In addition, we have deep experience extracting data from a wide variety of ERP packages like SAP R3, PeopleSoft, etc.

Our implementations integrate advanced processes like incremental load strategies, error processing, slowly changing dimension (SCD) type 1 & type 2 updates, surrogate keys, and reusable logic.
