Pleasanton, CA – May 18, 2007 – Breadboard BI, a leading provider of business intelligence (BI) systems in the open source BI space, today announced that one of its partners - Christopher Lavigne - will speak at LinuxWorld San Francisco 2007 about Enterprise Business Intelligence with Open Source.
BI has long been the sole domain of proprietary software, but not anymore. Using various open source technologies, interlocking BI modules (covering various business process areas) have been built: database tables, dashboards, data cubes, reports, etc. The capabilities of these modules are visible on a live demo server at http://breadboardbi.dnsalias.com. Lavigne's session will review the current capabilities of open source business intelligence, and include a case study and implementation.
Chris Lavigne is a partner with Breadboard BI LLC. He has collected over a decade of experiences in the business intelligence realm while working for companies like PricewaterhouseCoopers and Oracle. Chris has implemented enterprise business intelligence solutions using a wide variety of proprietary and open source tools across a number of industries. His hands-on experience includes most roles - from report writer through director. Chris holds a master’s degree in information systems from Virginia Tech.
